Enthusiast Auto Works is a Stellantis certified collision repair facility for Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep and Ram, located at 55B Plain Ave in New Rochelle, NY and serving Lower Westchester — New Rochelle, Scarsdale, Bronxville, Larchmont, Mamaroneck, Rye, Pelham, Eastchester, Tuckahoe, White Plains and Harrison — along with nearby Connecticut. You can reach the shop at (914) 630-1668, Monday through Friday, 8am to 5pm. Our other manufacturer certifications are listed separately.

Certification matters because a modern Jeep or Ram is not a generic steel box. It is a specific combination of high-strength steel grades, aluminum closures, adhesives, rivets, sensors and, increasingly, high-voltage electrical systems. Stellantis publishes exact repair procedures for each of those systems: which welds are allowed, which panels can be sectioned and where, which fasteners are single-use, what has to be scanned and recalibrated before the vehicle leaves. A certified facility has committed to following those procedures rather than improvising around them. For the owner, that means the vehicle is put back to the manufacturer’s specification, not to whatever a particular technician happens to be comfortable doing.

What manufacturer certification actually requires

Certification programs vary by brand, but the general requirements are consistent, and they are what separate a certified shop from one that simply says it works on the brand:

  • Technician training and credentials — structural repair, welding qualification, refinish and, for electrified models, high-voltage handling.
  • Specified equipment — a measuring system and frame bench capable of documenting a vehicle against factory dimensions, welders that meet the manufacturer’s specification for the steel grades in question, riveting and bonding tooling, and dedicated aluminum equipment.
  • Live access to published repair procedures — the shop pulls the current repair information for that VIN and body style before the estimate is finalized rather than guessing.
  • Genuine Mopar parts — replacement collision parts sourced new from the dealer network.
  • Facility standards — clean, controlled work areas, proper containment, and separation of materials that should not mix.

Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep and Ram models we repair

Jeep: Grand Cherokee, Wrangler, Wrangler 4xe, Grand Wagoneer, Wagoneer, Gladiator and Compass. Ram: 1500, 2500, 3500 and ProMaster. Dodge: Durango, Charger, Challenger and Hornet. Chrysler: Pacifica and Pacifica Hybrid. We handle everything from a parking-lot door ding on a Compass to full structural work on a Grand Wagoneer.

Body-on-frame and unibody: two different repairs

Ram 1500, 2500 and 3500 trucks, the Wrangler and the Gladiator are body-on-frame vehicles: a separate ladder frame carries the drivetrain and suspension, with the cab and bed bolted on top. Grand Cherokee, Pacifica, Charger, Challenger, Durango, Hornet, Compass and ProMaster are unibody designs, where the body shell itself is the structure and crash energy travels through rails, pillars and reinforcements that are part of the shell.

The distinction drives the repair. On a body-on-frame truck, a hard hit can tweak the frame while the cab still looks straight, so the frame has to be measured and, where the procedure allows, pulled back to specification, with the body mounts and their bushings inspected. On a unibody vehicle, damage transmits through the whole structure, and a front impact on a Grand Cherokee can move a strut tower or shift a rail by a few millimeters. Either way, guessing is not an option. The vehicle is fixtured on a bench and measured against factory control points before, during and after the pull, so the correction is documented and the finished geometry is verifiable. Millimeters here become pulling steering, uneven tire wear, misaligned panel gaps and ADAS sensors that will not calibrate.

Aluminum, mixed materials and galvanic corrosion

Many current Ram and Jeep models use aluminum for hoods, doors, tailgates, liftgates and some structural components, combined with steel elsewhere in the same body. Aluminum cannot be repaired with the same tools as steel. It work-hardens differently, needs different heat control, and its joints often rely on rivets and structural adhesive rather than welds.

The bigger issue is contamination. If steel dust from grinding or sanding lands on bare aluminum and stays there, moisture turns the two dissimilar metals into a small battery and galvanic corrosion begins under the paint, often invisible for a year or more and then blistering from the inside out. That is why aluminum work is done with separate, dedicated tooling — its own sanding media, files, hammers, dollies and extraction — in a work area kept apart so steel particles never reach it.

Plug-in hybrid and electrified models

Wrangler 4xe, Grand Cherokee 4xe and Pacifica Hybrid carry a high-voltage battery and orange-cabled high-voltage circuits that run through areas a body shop routinely works in. Before structural work, welding or panel replacement begins, the vehicle is de-energized following the manufacturer’s shutdown procedure and given the required rest interval, and the battery and its case are inspected for impact damage. Technicians handling those systems work with the proper insulated tools and personal protective equipment. After the repair, the vehicle gets a full diagnostic pass covering hybrid system health, stored fault codes, charging function and isolation checks before it is returned.

Lifted, off-road and modified Jeeps

Lifted Wranglers and Gladiators with aftermarket steel bumpers, winches, rock sliders, roof racks and oversized tires are common in Westchester, and they complicate both the repair and the estimate. Modifications change crash behavior, add weight and mounting points the factory never specified, and are frequently omitted from a standard insurance estimate, which can leave an owner short on a claim for equipment that was on the vehicle at the time of loss.

We photograph and document every modification on intake, identify the parts and their mounting hardware, and submit that documentation to the adjuster as part of the estimate or supplement so the accessories are accounted for. To be clear: our OEM-only parts policy applies to the replacement repair parts we install. It does not mean we turn away vehicles that already carry owner-installed accessories. We work on built Jeeps regularly.

ADAS calibration

Forward collision warning, adaptive cruise control, blind spot monitoring, lane keeping, surround view cameras and parking sensors depend on radar units, cameras and ultrasonic sensors mounted in the grille, bumpers, windshield, mirrors and liftgate. Replace or even remove and reinstall any of those parts, or change the vehicle’s ride height or alignment, and the sensor’s aim relative to the vehicle’s centerline changes. A camera aimed a fraction of a degree off will still power up and show no warning light while reading the road incorrectly.

That is why calibration is part of the repair rather than an upsell. Static calibration is performed in the shop with the vehicle squared to printed targets at manufacturer-specified distances on a level floor. Dynamic calibration requires driving the vehicle on suitable roads at a specified speed while the system relearns. Many Stellantis vehicles require one, some require both, and the procedure is dictated by the manufacturer for that VIN. Pre- and post-repair scans bookend the job.

Paint, color match and refinish

Jeep and Ram metallic and pearl colors are among the harder finishes to match, because the effect depends on metallic flake or mica orientation as much as on pigment. Color is verified against the vehicle’s paint code, test cards are sprayed and evaluated under the correct lighting, and the color is blended into adjacent panels so the transition disappears rather than stopping at a hard edge where a slight variance would show. Matte, satin, two-tone and contrasting-roof finishes each have their own handling requirements, and matte in particular cannot be polished to correct a defect the way gloss can, so it has to be laid down right the first time.

OEM parts: our policy, stated plainly

We repair with OEM parts only — new parts from the dealer. We tell insurers this up front, before the estimate is written, so there are no surprises later. If an insurer denies OEM coverage, our first move is to make it work for the client without the client paying out of pocket. If that is not possible, we call the client, explain the situation and decide together how to proceed. Aftermarket parts are very rare here and used only in special circumstances.

Insurance, estimates and your right to choose

We write a thorough initial estimate from the manufacturer repair procedures for your vehicle, then file supplements as hidden damage is uncovered during disassembly, which is normal and a reason the first number is rarely the last. We communicate directly with adjusters, provide photo documentation, measurement printouts and scan reports, and handle the back-and-forth so you are not the messenger.

In New York, the choice of repair facility belongs to the vehicle owner, not the insurance company. An insurer may recommend a shop in its network, but you are not required to use it. Policies and specific coverages differ, so we suggest confirming the details of your own policy with your insurer.

XPEL paint protection film

Enthusiast Auto Works is an XPEL Certified Installer. Paint protection film is often applied after a repair — on a freshly refinished hood and fender, on a full front end, or on high-wear areas like door edges, rocker panels and the load area of a Ram tailgate — to protect the finish from stone chips and road debris going forward.

Frequently asked questions

Is Enthusiast Auto Works a Jeep certified collision center?

Yes. Enthusiast Auto Works is a Stellantis certified collision repair facility, which covers Jeep along with Chrysler, Dodge and Ram. We repair Wrangler, Wrangler 4xe, Grand Cherokee, Gladiator, Compass, Wagoneer and Grand Wagoneer to the manufacturer’s published procedures. The shop is at 55B Plain Ave, New Rochelle, NY 10801.

Where can I get a Ram 1500 repaired in Westchester?

Enthusiast Auto Works in New Rochelle repairs Ram 1500, 2500, 3500 and ProMaster as a Stellantis certified facility. We have the frame measuring and straightening equipment body-on-frame trucks require and dedicated aluminum tooling for aluminum hoods and closures. Call (914) 630-1668 to schedule an estimate.

Do you use genuine Mopar parts?

Yes. We repair with OEM parts only — new parts from the dealer. We tell the insurer that up front; if OEM is denied, we first try to resolve it without any out-of-pocket cost to you, and if that cannot be done we call you and decide together. Aftermarket is very rare and only in special circumstances.

Can you repair a lifted Wrangler with aftermarket bumpers?

Yes. Lifted and modified Jeeps are routine here. We document every modification — lift kit, bumpers, winch, oversized tires, racks — with photos and part details on intake and submit that to the adjuster so the accessories are properly accounted for in the estimate.

Do you work on Wrangler 4xe and Grand Cherokee 4xe hybrids?

Yes, along with the Chrysler Pacifica Hybrid. The high-voltage system is shut down using the manufacturer’s de-energizing procedure before body or structural work begins, and the battery and its enclosure are inspected for impact damage. The vehicle receives high-voltage system diagnostics and a post-repair scan before it goes back to you.

Will you work with my insurance company?

Yes. We write the estimate, submit supplements as additional damage is found, and deal with the adjuster directly using manufacturer repair procedures, measurement data and scan reports as support. In New York you choose your own repair facility regardless of whether the shop is in your insurer’s network, and we recommend confirming your specific coverage with your insurer.

Does a Jeep or Ram need ADAS calibration after a bumper or windshield repair?

Usually, yes. Radar units, cameras and ultrasonic sensors live in the grille, bumpers, windshield and mirrors, so replacing or disturbing those parts changes sensor aim. Depending on the model and system, the manufacturer may require static calibration in the shop, dynamic calibration on the road, or both, and we perform whichever the procedure for that VIN specifies.
