Rivian does not run its own body shops. Collision work on the R1T, R1S and R2 goes to independent shops that Rivian has vetted and admitted to its Certified Collision Network. To get in and stay in, a shop has to keep its technicians current on Rivian training, own the specialty tools Rivian specifies, and work from Rivian's own repair procedures. Rivian also gives certified shops direct engineering support when something unusual comes up on a repair.
The part that matters most to an owner is parts access. Rivian sells structural components and high-voltage parts only to shops in the network. If a panel is bonded, riveted or welded to the body, or if it touches the battery system, a shop outside the network cannot buy it from Rivian. That is why a non-certified shop can look after a scuffed bumper but cannot properly put an R1S back together after a real hit.
We are a Rivian Certified Collision Center in New Rochelle, about 15 minutes from Scarsdale, and we repair Rivians from Westchester, Manhattan and lower Fairfield County. You can see our full list of manufacturer programs on our certifications page.
The R1 platform is built from aluminum alloy, ultra-high-strength steel, carbon fiber and composites, with a structural composite bed on the R1T. Each of those materials has its own rules. Aluminum cannot be heated and pulled like mild steel. Ultra-high-strength steel cannot be sectioned wherever it is convenient. Many fasteners are one-time-use and have to be replaced, not reused. Rivian has published procedures for all of this, down to a sectioning procedure for the front frame rail so a low-speed hit does not turn into a full skateboard replacement. We follow those procedures, and we keep the aluminum work in its own area with its own tools so steel dust never contaminates an aluminum panel.
Before anyone touches structure near the battery, the high-voltage system has to be de-energized and verified safe by a technician trained to do it, with the right insulated tools and lockout steps. After a hard impact the pack itself gets inspected to Rivian's guidance. This is not optional and it is not something a general body shop is set up for. It is also why Rivian restricts high-voltage parts to certified shops in the first place.
Rivian's Driver+ system relies on cameras in the windshield and body, radar in the bumpers, and ultrasonic sensors. A bumper cover, a windshield, a mirror or a suspension repair can all throw those sensors out, and Rivian only allows calibration on equipment it has approved. We do all ADAS calibration in-house (cameras, radar and sensors), along with pre- and post-repair scans, so the truck leaves with its driver-assist systems working and the documentation to prove it. Nothing gets farmed out to a third party.
We use new Rivian parts. No aftermarket, no used, no salvage. We tell the insurer that up front, in writing, so there are no surprises in the estimate. On a Rivian this is partly a practical matter, since most of the important parts are not available any other way, but it is also just how we do every repair in the shop.
Insurers do sometimes deny an OEM part. When that happens our first move is to find a way to get the right part on the car with no out-of-pocket cost to you, usually by documenting why Rivian's procedure requires it. If we cannot get there, we call you, explain the options, and decide together. You will not get a surprise invoice.
In New York, your insurer cannot require you to use a particular body shop. That is New York Insurance Law § 2610, and it applies whether the adjuster recommends their "network" shop or not. Tell them the car is going to Enthusiast Auto Works and we take it from there.
Most of our Rivian clients carry high-net-worth policies. We are a preferred repair shop for Berkley One, which helps streamline the whole process. We have a direct representative we deal with, and that lets us get to work on your car right away. We also regularly work with Chubb, PURE, AIG Private Client and Hagerty claims teams, and Chubb's own Masterpiece materials say they will not dictate which shop you use. More on how those claims run on our high-net-worth insurance repair page.
At drop-off you sign three forms: a direction of pay, an authorization to repair, and a representation document that lets us speak to your insurance company on your behalf. From that point we handle the estimate, the photos, the supplements and the adjuster calls. You get updates from us, not a string of phone calls from the carrier.
If the damage is severe enough that the vehicle may be a total loss, we help with that claim from start to finish too: we document the damage, work with your adjuster and keep you informed. Our luxury car accident repair guide covers the full process from the first call to pickup.
A lot of Rivians come to us already wrapped in XPEL film, and a repaired panel has to be re-filmed to match. We are an XPEL Certified Installer and we do the film in the same building as the bodywork, so the panel is painted, cured and re-filmed here without a trip to a second shop. If your truck did not have film before, this is also the easiest time to add it. Details on our XPEL paint protection film page and our Rivian and Land Rover collision and PPF page.
We pick up and deliver across Westchester, New York City, and Greenwich, Stamford and New Canaan in Connecticut. Scarsdale is about 15 minutes from the shop. If the vehicle is drivable we can come get it from your home or office; if it is not, towing is available on all insurance claims at no cost to you.
We are also a Jaguar Land Rover certified collision center. If there is a Range Rover or Defender in the household, see our JLR certified collision repair page. General collision information is on our auto collision repair page.
Call 914-630-1668 or use the estimate form on this page. Send a few photos and the VIN if you have it handy, and we will get back to you with next steps. Open Monday through Friday at 55B Plain Ave, New Rochelle, NY 10801.
No law requires it, but Rivian sells structural and high-voltage parts only to shops in its Certified Collision Network, and it publishes its repair procedures and approves calibration equipment for those shops. A non-certified shop can handle cosmetic work, but it cannot buy the parts or follow the procedures needed for a structural or battery-related repair. Enthusiast Auto Works is a Rivian Certified Collision Center in New Rochelle, NY.
Not in New York. Insurance Law § 2610 says an insurer cannot require you to use a particular repair shop. Tell the adjuster the vehicle is going to Enthusiast Auto Works and we handle the rest, including the estimate and supplements.
Yes, new Rivian parts only. No aftermarket, used or salvage parts. We tell the insurer this at the start of the claim. If a part is denied, we first look for a way to get it approved at no cost to you; if that is not possible, we call you and decide together.
We do, in-house. Rivian's Driver+ cameras, radar and sensors are calibrated here on Rivian-approved equipment as part of the repair, with pre- and post-repair scans, and you receive the documentation. We do not send the vehicle to a third party for calibration.
Before structural work near the battery, the high-voltage system is de-energized and verified safe by a trained technician following Rivian's procedures. After a hard impact the pack is inspected per Rivian's guidance. This is one of the main reasons Rivian restricts high-voltage parts to certified shops.
Yes. We are an XPEL Certified Installer and the film is applied in the same building as the bodywork, so repaired panels are painted, cured and re-filmed here without a second shop or appointment.

Enthusiast Auto Works fits new original parts from the manufacturer’s dealer network. Not “like kind and quality”, not aftermarket copies, not a used panel off a donor car. Barring genuinely exceptional circumstances, that is what goes on your vehicle.
We also tell your insurer this before the estimate is written, rather than arguing about it afterwards. That one step is the reason it is rare for the question to become a fight at all.
Why it matters more than it sounds:
If your insurer pushes back. Most estimates arrive with aftermarket substitutions already written in. We write the supplement from the manufacturer’s published repair procedure with the relevant pages attached and make the case for the original part — documented procedure moves adjusters in a way that opinion does not. If a carrier still will not pay, our first move is to find a way to make the repair work without you going out of pocket. If we cannot, we call you, explain exactly where the claim stands, and you make the decision. What does not happen is an aftermarket part going quietly onto your car while you find out later.

Protecting paint rather than repairing it? We are an XPEL Certified Installer as well as a collision shop — see paint protection film across Westchester, Fairfield and Bergen County.
Most collision shops cannot finish the job. They can repair and repaint the panel, but they cannot put the film back, because that is a separate trade with a separate certification. The car goes to a second facility afterward — a second drop-off, a second wait, and nobody answerable if the result does not match.
We do both in the same building. Enthusiast Auto Works is the only facility in NY, NJ and CT that can perform a certified repair and an XPEL install on your vehicle under one roof. A filmed vehicle is stripped, repaired, refinished, cured and re-filmed here without moving.
Other certified shops in the area send us their customers’ cars for the film work once their paint is done. If the film has to come back to us anyway, you can simply start here.
